VITEK Solutions Deployed on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition!
CCTV System Used in Home with Special Needs Children.
Valencia, CA (April 5, 2010) -- VITEK Industrial Video Products Inc., an emerging leader of security and video surveillance product solutions, today announced it has provided a state of the art video surveillance system to the ABC television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The VITEK CCTV system was installed in a new house built for a deserving family in the Bay area of Houston, TX.
The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition series is devoted to rebuilding families' homes when the family is in need of new hope. The Beach family, recipients of the new home, is an advocate for special-needs adoptions and over the course of their 23 year marriage have fostered 85 children and adopted nine, in addition to their four biological children. Their Kemah, TX home suffered irreparable damage by Hurricane Ike in 2008 and since that time the family has been living in a trailer, parked on their lot.
“With this important step, VITEK is helping to rebuild the future of the Beach family as well as contribute to the community which was so hard hit by Hurricane Ike,” said Greg Bier, Director/CEO of VITEK. “We are honored to be a part of this effort.”
The CCTV system was installed by VITEK’s sales channel partner, Lighthouse Video Surveillance of Houston, TX and includes 16 Day/Night Color Dome Cameras, a 16-channel DVR and 5 LCD Monitors. Internally, the cameras are installed in the nursery and therapy room and externally on the front and back porches and patio of the 6,300 square foot house. Cameras and monitors are located in key areas to allow continuous, real-time monitoring. As well, the system will allow the family to log in remotely for viewing purposes.
